Allison Baird
Hello! I am Allison Baird. I trained at University of North Dakota, graduated in 1979. I have extensive experience and education in stroke care, movement disorders like Parkinson Disease, and dementia. I describe myself as a "medical speech-language pathologist" and I embrace challenges.
In my early years I took a special interest in stuttering and children with severe disabilities. More recently I have focused my learning and treatment in the area of physical therapies which reduce body tension affecting voice and swallowing.
For the past 25 years I have worked almost exclusively with adults. I think of myself as a coach and I expect my clients to do well. I have partnered with several charitable organizations to raise funds for treatment.
I have published articles on treatment efficacy post stroke and in the area of stuttering. I have given numerous presentations on virtual care in the US, Canada and abroad.
I continue to enjoy my client care and would love to see you!
